Poetry Reading Tonight

I'm headed to the Literary Cafe tonight for the monthly open mic. poetry reading extravaganza. The Literary has been on poetry reading hiatus since December; missing the month of January because Linda and Andy, the Lit. Cafe owners were out of the country - touring through Portugal and Southern Spain. Lucky them.

Anyway, in an attempt to continue to plug Roxanne (not that she requires anymore plugging...wink, wink), I will of course be promoting (insert pimping) Sex Through the Zodiac tonight.

I'll be reading tonight too, but instead of zodiac prose, I've decided to read a couple of gorgeous pieces written by the very talented Nikki Magennis. I read Nikki's work in two separate anthologies recently, both published by Alison Tyler. I asked Nikki via e-mail if she would mind if I read her work and humbly, she said that she would be honored. Nikki, I'm the one who is honored.

I mentioned on more than one occassion that I have met and read some unbelievably talented writers out here in the blogland world. I'd like to keep the spirit of celebrating each other alive; renouncing Roxanne from time to time, and lifting up my glass of tequila to share other writer's penned words with my little corner of the world.

If my reading is videotaped, I'll share my voice reading Nikki's words with all of you.

Poetry is alive and well in Cleveland -

Oh, that's so cool, Neve! I so wish I could have been there. I'd love to see the video if there was one!

Also - is that lady at the top of the blog yourself, Neve? Gosh, you're beautiful.

I'll be sure to share if I was videotaped. Your words are gorgeous, Nikki. :-)

Yes. That's me above. You're too kind.
