Baby, It's Cold Outside

The weather has turned cold here. In a failed effort to hold onto summer just a little longer, I reluctantly had to flip the air conditioner switch over to the heater this week. Unless you're waking up on the other side of the equator we're all feeling the cold snap in the air, I suppose. Brrrr....

Gas forced heat aside, I'm still holding onto the hope that I'll be able to wear one of my many colored flip-flops before the first snow falls, but did I mention that's it's cold and that I'm slightly insane? My piggies are arguing with me about wearing flip-flops, they've been eyeing my sock drawer lately. Oh drears.

I used to think cold weather was a great time to slow down and settle in and create and write, but this year, it appears any type of weather has been a great time to write. I sat outside this summer in my shorts and tank top (memories... of warmer weather days) and worked on many a story, a blog message, or a post. Today, I'm in the house writing, but I'm wearing a long sleeved tee-shirt, capri pants and oh yeah, the piggies won, I have socks on my feet.

Happy writing and happy colder weather days to everyone.

p.s. It's summertime in Australia.
p.p.s. The fabulous, I don't think I can live without ice bracelet above can be purchased here via Etsy.

I wish I were back in Australia. Another summer sounds good to me.

Hi Heidi,
Me too. The land down under...is there ever a bad time of year? :-)

Not in my opinion, but I'm biased.

Oooh, please elaborate, Heidi.

Is it Sports related, or did you spend some time in Aussie and Kiwi land?

Been there twice. 2005 and this past May. Long distance love affair, for sure. If we can ever get our shit together, we want to move there.

Wow! The good thing about being a writer is, laptops travel and you can do it anywhere.

I'm a huge believer in living abroad for awhile...think about all the experiences, girl?

Go for it!
